Hello! I’m Lucia, a freelance illustrator and designer based in London, UK.

Mostly, I take inspiration from backpacking trips, visiting new cities, long coastal walks and observing all the little components that make up a trip or adventure. 

I have been lucky enough to work with clients including Oxfam, Urban Outfitters, Waterstones and John Lewis.

I usually start with small pencil sketches to get the ball rolling, finding that this takes the pressure off creating something great first time round. I’ll then scan my freehand doodles and begin to trace and layer up, adding colour and texture as I go. More recently I have started experimenting with Procreate.

After graduating from Cardiff School of Art and Design in July 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication from Cardiff School of Art and Design,  I was nominated by Creativebloq.com in their Top 10 graduates. Following my degree show I was then privately commissioned by Bees for Development, a charity focusing on simple methods of sustainable beekeeping.
